EKO v1.5 Successfully Released at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital (WLMH), Grimsby, Ontario

EKO v1.5 was successfully released at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital on April 28, 2026, delivering several user‑focused enhancements informed by client feedback gathered during onsite implementation.

The release introduces closed‑loop communication feedback for the Epic Rover integration, allowing the EKO interface to display when clinical staff acknowledge alerts in the Epic Rover mobile app, enhancing visibility and supporting more efficient clinical workflows.

Additional updates include usability improvements across the Unit Admin, Portal Admin, Security, and Locating GUIs, refined floor plan accuracy, and multiple performance and reliability fixes. Together, these enhancements reinforce EKO’s commitment to improving user experience, operational efficiency, and clinical communication.

The full EKO v1.5 release includes the following feature enhancements and bug fixes:

Unit Admin GUI – Floor Identification on Department Drop-Down

1. Added floor and level details to the department drop‑down menu to improve location clarity.

Unit Admin GUI – Data Loading Indicator

1. Implemented a visual loading indicator when logging into the Unit Admin interface.

Portal Admin GUI – Filtering and Sorting Enhancements

1. Added enhanced sorting, filtering, search capabilities, and an account lock‑status indicator.

Locating GUI – Department Selection for Manual Codes

1. Enabled Switchboard users to select a department from a drop‑down menu when initiating manual code events.

EPIC Rover – Closed Loop Communication Feedback

1. Added visibility within the Unit Admin GUI to indicate whether a nurse call‑point activation was accepted via the Epic Rover mobile app.

2. Designed the functionality to support future extension to RTLS events.

Security GUI – Code Call Display Enhancements

1. Streamlined code call display to align with the Unit Admin GUI, ensuring active tiles remain pinned to the top.
